First week with obqo

Seven steps that cover roughly 90% of what a new coach or faculty admin does in their first week. Skim the headings, dive into the ones that aren't obvious.

  1. 1. Land on the dashboard

Sign in and you arrive on your faculty dashboard. The top row shows four headline metrics — coaching coverage, engagement, placement rate, flow completion. Each card has an (i) icon — hover it for a definition.

  2. 2. Find the students that need attention

The "Attention" bar under the dashboard surfaces students who match an at-risk pattern (no session in 30+ days, missed booking, low engagement). Click a row to open the profile.

  3. 3. Open a student profile

Every student has tabs for Sessions, Flows, Applications, Networking, Files, Notes. Most fields are inline-editable — click and type. Notes are private to coaches, students never see them.

  4. 4. Schedule a session

From the student profile or the Coaching agenda, schedule a session. Students get an email with the calendar invite. If a student no-shows, mark the session — that feeds the at-risk model.

  5. 5. Assign a flow

A flow is a guided sequence of reflection prompts the student fills in between sessions. Pick one from the Flows tab on the student profile, or assign one to a cohort from /admin/flows.

  6. 6. Record a career outcome

When a student signs an offer, open their profile and add a Career outcome. That single row drives the placement-rate metric and the Alumni Pulse module. Keep it fresh.

  7. 7. Invite the rest of your team

Faculty admins can invite coaches from /admin/team. Invitations expire after 7 days. If a coach already exists in another faculty, they can be added without a new invite.

Next: understand the numbers on your dashboard

The metric glossary explains exactly how each card on the dashboard is calculated and what the sparkline bars represent.
