Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most from new coaches, faculty admins, and students. Missing yours? Email info@obqo.co.
- How do students sign in?
- Students sign in with the email address you (or they) used when their record was created. Most universities turn on single sign-on via their Microsoft (Azure AD) or Google Workspace identity provider — students then click the SSO button and never type a password. If SSO isn't configured for your faculty yet, students receive a magic-link email.
- A coach forgot her password — what do I do?
- Coaches use the same identity provider as students. If your faculty uses Microsoft SSO, the coach resets her password through your university's identity portal — obqo doesn't store passwords. For magic-link logins, the coach just enters her email and clicks the link in the new email.
- Can I import students from a CSV?
- Yes. Go to /students/import and drop a CSV (or TSV) file. obqo auto-detects English and Dutch column headers. Required fields: name, email, programme. Optional coachEmail column auto-assigns the student to that coach.
- How do I export data?
- Each list view (students, sessions, applications, career outcomes) has an Export → button that produces a CSV. The Analytics view exports to PDF for sharing with faculty leadership.
- Where does obqo store data?
- All obqo data is stored in the EU, in Frankfurt, Germany (Supabase running on AWS eu-central-1). No data leaves the EU at rest or in transit between obqo services. See Privacy & data for the full picture.
- Does obqo integrate with our LMS or HR system?
- Standard integrations: Microsoft 365 calendar (for session scheduling), Google Calendar (same), SSO via SAML or OIDC. SCIM user provisioning, gradebook integrations, and HR data syncs are scoped per customer — talk to us at info@obqo.co for the current list.
- Can students delete their own data?
- Yes. Each student can request export or deletion from /my/settings. Deletion is soft for 30 days (so an accidental request can be reversed), then hard. Faculty admins receive a notification when a deletion request is filed.
